About me

Hi, I'm Larissa! I came to design from teaching. For seven years I was a bilingual teacher, and much of the job was noticing where people got lost and finding a simpler way through. That's still the part of design I enjoy most. I like understanding how something really works before deciding what it should become, and I'm often the one asking whether we need the thing at all. I care about products that are easy to live with, both for the people using them and for the teams who keep them running.

Right now I'm on a sabbatical, using the time to learn new things, travel, and be with family and friends more than work usually allows. Otherwise, you'll probably find me reading, cooking, out on a long walk, or picking up another language.
